Hi! Welcome to my blog! I never thought I’d write a blog, I never much cared for talking about myself, but here I am.

This blog started from years of struggle to create a well-paying, interesting, productive and fulfilling career. If you are someone who has that type of career, congratulations and I hope you know what you have. Many people do not. I do not. Most people I know don't have that type of career. Most strangers I read about on the internet don't have that type of career. I am not alone in the college and career struggles of our times.

This blog is about my career and the struggles of it but it’s also about the larger issues that we have in the United States regarding college, interviewing/hiring practices and career paths.

I want to put a positive spin on each topic or separate one issue and only talk about that. But a life can’t be compartmentalized, it only gets to be lived in the mess of a whole life.

The topics along the way will be varied but will include:

College

Resumes/Cover Letters/Interviews

Employer Hiring practices

Social/Emotional issues

Disability Issues

I don't know what my reach for this blog will be. It’s possible that the moment I put thought to computer I’ll want to take it back because it will feel too personal. I hope not though, I think it’s time to shine a light on some topics. For myself and for the hundreds of thousands (millions?) of others experiencing the same situations.

I think the topics I will be posting about should be part of a conversation. I'd like to hope a few minds will be changed with this blog but I do want to start a larger conversation and allow people to feel heard and validated in what they have or are experiencing.

As you read a post, keep an open mind and comment in kindness (even if it’s critical kindness). If we share a common experience feel free to share it. if you have a story of hope I’d love to hear it. And if you just want to say hi you are welcome to do that too.
